The Abandoned Bike Project is a new exhibit curated in partnership with WNYC, Transportation Nation, and Recycle-A-Bicycle. Old abandoned bikes, or what was left of them, were collected by partner organizations, (and the Dept of Sanitation) and are now displayed in the windows of the Jerome L. Greene Performance Space. This exhibit is part of a larger survey to determine why so many bikes are abandoned in NYC. Check it out at 160 Varick Street.
[PSA: Love your bike, and when you’re done with it, donate it!]
