Splinster

While the bike share program in NYC/Brooklyn has been pushed back to next year, a new service called Splinster has emerged, which allows you to rent a bike online from individuals or bike shops by the day or hour. Great way to make a little extra money while your bike is sitting at home waiting for some love. All you need is an internet connection and trust in your fellow bikers. So far, it exists in SF and New York City, but will hopefully be expanding to more cities soon. We may be the cheapest generation, but at least we’re creative.
