Jim James of My Morning Jacket performs “State of the Art” at Sleep No More and chats with Pitchfork TV. I’m so lucky to have been there, and for those who couldn’t here’s an awesome glimpse into a special night. You can catch me looking pretty blissed out at the very end.

Here’s the new music video from My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James for his Regions of Light and Sound of God track “A New Life” in which he goes through some magical doors and finds himself singing to a buffalo-headed woman. Pretty standard stuff.

Before the heavy rains set in Saturday at the Newport Folk Festival, My Morning Jacket and Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes played “It Makes No Difference”, a tribute to Levon Helm of The Band, who died in April. Jim James performed the tune with Helm at the Folk Fest in 2010 before his death. This incredible tribute starts at 12:43.
